Can I bring 4-Fluoroamphetamine to Korea?

4-Fluoroamphetamine · 4-FA

Prohibited반입 금지

4-Fluoroamphetamine cannot be brought into South Korea. Bringing it may lead to seizure and criminal charges, even with a valid prescription from your home country.

Korea lists 4-Fluoroamphetamine in annex 3 of the Narcotics Control Act enforcement decree, the schedule for psychotropic substances with no accepted medical use. Do not bring it into Korea. Carrying it can lead to seizure and criminal charges even if you obtained it legally abroad.

How Korea classifies it

Under the Narcotics Control Act, 4-Fluoroamphetamine is a psychotropic substance (향정신성의약품), listed in annex 3 of the enforcement decree, the schedule for psychotropic substances with no accepted medical use in Korea. The classification attaches to the substance itself, so it applies to every product, brand, and dosage form that contains it. That is why the entry rule does not depend on how much you carry or whether your home prescription is valid: the substance triggers the permit requirement on its own.

If you have it packed

Take it out before you fly. Korean customs screens arriving baggage, and possession of a prohibited substance can end in seizure, criminal charges, and deportation, regardless of how it was obtained. If you depend on this medication, contact the MFDS (narcotics@korea.kr) about alternatives before the trip rather than testing the border.
