Alzain (active ingredient: Pregabalin) can be brought into Korea for personal use. Korean customs treats up to six bottles or a three-month supply as personal use.

Pregabalin is not a controlled substance in Korea, even though Lyrica is Schedule V in the US. Lyrica is sold in Korea under the same brand name in 50 to 300 mg strengths. Bring it with your prescription; Korean customs treats up to six bottles or a three-month supply as personal use.

At the airport

No permit is needed. Keep the medication in its original packaging, and carry the prescription or a doctor's note if your quantity is near the customs line of six bottles or a three-month supply. Amounts above that line should be declared on arrival.

Questions

Lyrica is a controlled substance at home. Do I need Korean approval?

No. Korea has not scheduled pregabalin; its MFDS registration shows a regular prescription medicine with no psychotropic designation. The narcotics permit that covers zolpidem or benzodiazepines does not apply to Lyrica.
