Losec (active ingredient: Omeprazole) can be brought into Korea for personal use. Korean customs treats up to six bottles or a three-month supply as personal use.

Omeprazole is not a controlled substance in Korea, so bringing your supply is fine under the customs personal-use rule of six bottles or a three-month supply. Note the difference on arrival: omeprazole is prescription-only in Korea, with no equivalent of US Prilosec OTC.

At the airport

No permit is needed. Keep the medication in its original packaging, and carry the prescription or a doctor's note if your quantity is near the customs line of six bottles or a three-month supply. Amounts above that line should be declared on arrival.

Questions

Can I buy Prilosec at a Korean pharmacy?

Not over the counter. Korea classifies omeprazole as a prescription medicine, so pack what you need or see a Korean doctor for a refill. Pharmacies do sell other OTC antacids for occasional heartburn.
